Dominique Kim


Dominique plays the flute, with valerie playing the piano.

 
Dominique Kim, A native Californian, and former principal flute of San Diego Youth Symphony & Philharmonia, 2009 San Diego Symphony's "Hot Shots" Young Artist Competition 1st Prize winner, and 2010 "Most Promising Talent" at La Jolla Symphony Young Artist Competition, was most recently awarded 2nd prize at the 2012 National Flute Convention's High School Soloist Competition.
Currently studies flute with Bradley Garner and piano with Choong-mo Kang at Juilliard Pre-College, while attending LaGuardia Arts High School in New York.
Past performances include concerti with San Diego Symphony, University of San Diego Orchestra, SD Civic Youth Orchestra, SD Young Artists Symphony, and LaGuardia HS Symphony Orchestra.
Featured or awarded at La Jolla Music Society SummerFests, Vianden Music Festival of Luxembourg, Eastern Music Festival, and various live TV shows.
 
Dominique's sister , Valerie is also a young and promising musician.

    Hello Alexia, I have followed these two young musicians for a number of years, on the Web, so it's good to see a site that follows young musical prodigies.
